The Opportunity
Paycom develops a variety of software applications currently in use by its growing client base. Most of these systems are data-centric, employee management solutions. Our systems utilize a variety of platforms including web and windows based technologies. Paycom’s flagship product “Paycomonline” (www.paycomonline.com) is a web-based online transaction processing system which provides Paycom’s customers central access to their payroll, time and attendance, human resource, benefits information and more.
Software developers will work in a team environment to support and extend Paycom’s growing list of product offerings. In doing so they may be exposed to many areas of software development and computing such as:
• Database design and implementation
• Windows Software development
• Web Software development
• Component technologies (ex. COM, EJB etc.)
• Integration and exchange protocols (ex. XML, Soap etc.)
• Reporting
• Networking and network server configuration (ex. web servers)
The ideal candidate for the software developer position should enjoy writing code, problem solving, working according to deadlines and working in a team environment. They should also adapt easily to new or unfamiliar development platforms and protocols. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
